It is critical for Live Streaming you test your internet speeds and network before your streaming event. Below are 4 easy steps to prepare and test your stream.

1.) Connect your streaming device to the internet:

While you can stream using a wireless internet connection, it is always recommended you hardwire your computer or mobile device. Below are adapters that allow you to accept ethernet if you do not have an ethernet port on your computer or mobile device.

2.) Test your internet speed long before your event: https://www.speedtest.net/

3.) Take the UPLOAD speed it gives you (NOT the download speed) and compare to the “Upload Speed” chart. Based on your upload speed, look what resolution your network can handle.

4.) Open your streaming application and set the encoder to the settings your network can handle.
