Connecting mobile devices to OBS
You can connect mobile devises to OBS to utilize their cameras using the instructions below. While not free, it's very inexpensive and cheaper than purchasing new camera(s) Please note, this only works with the mobile device hardwired to the computer using OBS. A 30' cable has been tested with success. If you are looking for longer runs or wireless you will need to use NDI (advanced).
To connect mobile devices as cameras to OBS, there are TWO steps. Downloading the plugin for OBS on computer and downloading the App on to the mobile device. You are NOT using the native camera app of the mobile device. You MUST open the app you downloaded and use the camera within that app. Don't forget to set your mobile device to Do Not Disturb.
