Closed Captioning your stream

Closed Captioning is available via different methods depending on the type of streaming you are doing on the ShowTix4U platform.

Live Stream:

• ShowTix4U recommends that you first consider adding a Sign Language Interpreter to your Live Stream via picture in picture. Most broadcasting/streaming applications allow for easy addition of picture in picture.

Other options include:

• While the least accurate and not available for music vocals, using PubNub or WebCaptioner with a broadcasting/streaming application is an easy way of "burning in" closed captioning to your live stream.

Video On Demand:

ShowTix4U offers closed captioning services for $1.75 per video minute (one time transcribing fee). ShowTix4U will create and add the closed captioning to your video using human transcribers and 99% accuracy. Closed captioning appears as in option in the ShowTix4U player and can be turned on or off by the viewer. If your organization already has an .srt file, it can be forwarded to ShowTix4U to be added to your video content for no charge. Please allow 5 business days to CC a video file.

Scheduled Content (Watch Party):

Closed captioning can be added to Scheduled Content, but captioning would be "Burnt In" (always on). If you are interested in this option, ShowTix4U offers closed captioning services for $1.75 per video minute (one time transcribing fee). ShowTix4U will create and add the closed captioning to your video using human transcribers and 99% accuracy. Please allow 4-5 business days to CC a video file. If your organization already has an .srt file, it can be forwarded to ShowTix4U to be added to your video content for no charge. For the video to be prepared, please have the .srt emailed to content@showtix4u.com and file uploaded to the platform at least 24 hours prior to opening stream.

You also have the option of live streaming your prerecorded content yourself and using one of the Live Stream closed captioning options above.
